Now Up for Auction on e-Bay!
Your bidding on a 1964 Corvair Monza Spyder. The odometer currently showing 61,270 original miles.  The body is in excellent condition with a few minor paint chips but NO dents or rust holes.  The chrome around and through out the car is in very good condition.

The matching blue interior is in good to excellent condition with the exception of a seam tear on the driver side seat as shown in the picture.  Door panels are in good condition as well as the rear panels with no buckling.  The matching blue headliner and sun visors are also in good condition with no tears or rips.

Mechanically the car is in very good condition.  The front end is tight with no rattles or shimmy.  A new pitman arm bushing has been installed for added responsiveness.  The rear end is also very tight with no sign of bushing wear or rattles. The rear wheel bearing and universal joints are quite and smooth.
The transmission is a 4-speed synchromesh and performs beautifully with no grinding, whining or problems getting in or out of any gear.  Pilot bushing, throw-out bearing, pressure plate and flywheel all work accordingly with no slipping or bearing noise.

The engine is the original and runs very well, however the previous owner removed the turbo and installed carburetors (only he knows why) but a complete turbo system does come with the car.  It is a very peppy engine with lots of power.  A compression test was taken on all cylinders averaging 140-155 per cylinder.  There is no blow by coming from the engine vent.
There is a small hole forming in the seam of the muffler, which will need to be replaced eventually but has been quite enough for our weekend use.

For the past 2 years the car has been a daily driver traveling all over New Jersey, New York and Connecticut never giving any trouble at all.  Gas mileage is averaging 27 miles per gallon highway and about 22 city with premium unleaded.

It has been a fun car to own and drive and it’s time for someone else to enjoy her.  The winning bidder will not be disappointed.  The car in its present state will bring you years of enjoyment and I’m sure if the winning chooses to install the turbo their enjoyment will only be enhanced.

Please feel free to ask any questions and good luck bidding.
