1965 Monza Sedan

You are bidding on a 1965 Corvair Monza Four door sedan. It is equipped with a 95 HP. Engine, 4-speed transmission (all original equipment), odometer reads 103,000 miles.
The car has a gold exterior and gold interior with the Monza trim. The car as a whole is very solid and presentable as a daily driver (my intent) but does need some body work. The trunk is pretty rusty and needs patches to cover holes. But will still hold a trunk of groceries.
The front floor have two 4’x4’ holes on each side (Drive’s side and Passenger’s side) but are covered with 2(two)   8”x8” pieces of steel. The back floors are original and solid.  The body has lots of bondo in the fenders and doors with typical rust around the wheel wells and windshields.
Mechanically the car is in excellent running, driving and braking condition.  The 3 speed trans shifts quite in all gears (no synchro) but does need a flywheel (chatters in neutral).  Gear fluids have been drained and changed.
The engine is a 95HP with excellent compression (130lbs. To 150lbs. In each cylinder) and proves it by the amount of power – however, it does need the muffler side “O” rings replaced.  The engine has had a tune-up with new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, fuel pump, oil and filter.
The front and rear suspensions are tight and the brakes are in excellent condition and stop on a dime with no shimmy or pulling.  No wheel bearing noises either.  The front end has had the center link replaced as well as the pitman arm, bushing and idler arm.
Overall this 65 Monza has the potential to be a show winner but as a daily driver it’s already a winner! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
