Your bidding on a 1965 Corvair Monza Coupe with an 110HP engine complimented with a Saginaw 4 speed.   I bought the car with the intention of using it as a winter car but found a 66 automatic I like better.

Let me first point out that the car is a runner/driver.  The engine and transmission are in very good mechanical condition.  The differential is very quite with no whining at all.

The engine is in good running condition.  The  carburetors have been cleaned and reset.  It has electronic ignition, new plugs, new harmonic balancer and seal, new dual exhaust and fresh filter and oil.

The brakes are very good and stop the car straight.  The emergency brake holds the car tight.  It has new tires and while the shocks are not new there is no bouncing or sagging while taking those tight corners.

All lights and directionals work, as they should.  It does not have back up lights but the housings and lenses are there. (There is no back up light switch at trans)

The front end is tight.  I installed a new/used idler arm, greased the wheel bearing, lubed all joints and reset the toe.  The steering wheel is straight and handles very well.

I would not hesitate driving this car anywhere!

The body and interior are not perfect but presentable as a daily driver.  The floorboards have rust but are still sound (no holes) There is evidence of Bondo and rust bubbles are forming under the paint in spots but you have to look for them.  Like most Corvairs past around from owner to owner everyone has had their hand in restoring it but cruising down the highway it looks good and will get lots of attention.

The interior is white and is presentable.  No headliner tears.  The front drivers seat has been recovered with white vinyl and not original but back seat and passengers seat are nice originals.  It has light brown carpet, which is in good shape.  All glass is good and does not appear to leak when it rains.

All in all, this is a very good daily driver.  If you’re looking for a Corvair to tool around in without worry – this is it.  It is in presentable condition as is and is well worth restoring to your taste.

Please feel free to ask any and as many questions as you like and I will answer all as quickly as possible.  Thanks for looking and good luck.
